Star energy meters are highly renowned in Mongolia. Since 2003, Star Instrument has been awarded tenders funded by the World Bank and obtained the top market share. The meters delivered were installed in shanty towns located in suburbs of the capital city Ulaanbaatar, which environment was harsh. Yet until today, these energy meters are still working well. Star Instrument has implemented AMI system in collaboration with the utility. Customized smart energy meters and systems for Mongolia have greatly facilitated the utility’s management purpose.
